I saw these Ames True Temper shears mentioned in a magazine and decided to buy a pair. The shears are priced right and do a nice job of whacking off branches and stems. They may not be a whole lot better than any other shears, but they really look like they would be. That finger hole in the lower handle gives these shears a high tech appearance and seems to provide some degree of stability while griping the things.
The soft touch edges on the handles certainly provide a degree of comfort using the shears. They are well made and seem very sturdy. The shears are available in several cutting capacities (jaw openings)--all with the same modern looking design.
