I had been looking for a good ratchet-style pruner for some time. I just can't find them any more at Home Depot or Lowe's--they're all non-ratchet. This pruner is exactly what I was looking for--comfortable design and able to go through sizable limbs without difficulty. -- Ratchet pruner is great

A friend recommended a ratchet pruner because it is easier to use than other pruners for branches up to 3/4 of an inch. I've used this one for even larger branches, and it works quite well. My one minor quibble is that it's not that easy to latch or unlatch the lock. But overall a great product. -- Great for cutting small branches
