User Reviews about Fiskars 9154 PowerGear 31-1 2-Inch Bypass Lopper
Hey - we should have bought these years ago. They are so much easier to use than our old pruner/loppers which we have had for the last 30 years. They go through thick branches without nearly as much effort as our old ones. I can use them with nearly as much effectiveness as my husband. They also easily cut the long rawhide chew rolls into two pieces so that my Rottweiler can share with her friend and neighbor, a German Shorthaired Pointer, without any major argument.
The long handles are great for leverage and they actually weigh less than our old loppers, but are much easier and more effective in use. Five Stars! -- Fiskars Power Gear Lopper
This lopper is by far the best I've seen. It is extremly sharp and cuts even 2in. limbs effortlessly thanks to the power gear.
I cleared the brush from my fence line in half the time using my old loppers -- Best Lopper
This is a great product and has helped me carve out my yard from the wilderness it had become. Haven't met a tree limb, vine, or shrub that I couldn't cut with this Fiskars Lopper. My only caution is that you need really long arms to cut the largest limbs because of how wide you need to open the lopper. Luckily I could manage, but someone of smaller size may have diffculty. -- Great product!
There was an area of my front garden in which unwanted saplings came up yearly, growing to 1 1/2" stem thickness and becomming unsightly. These took them all down with little trouble. As mentioned by others, on the big shoots or branches you have to really open these wide and get real close, but that's how the get the leverage from the huge gearing on the front behind the blade. Just what I wanted. A lot less trouble than getting out a saw or other type of clipper where you have to use too much muscle power. Good for a woman especially since it doesn't require much upper limb strength (human limbs, that is). Now I feel secure there will never be a small limb or sapling I can't handle. Junk bushes, beware! -- Friskars PowerGear makes the cut
I'VE OWNED AND USED A PAIR OF LONG HANDLED PROFESSIONAL CRAFTSMAN LOPPERS WITH COMPOUND ACTION FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS. THEY HAVE WORKED WELL BUT I'VE NOTICED HOW MUCH TOUGHER TREE LIMBS HAVE BECOME AS I AGED. MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING.
THE POWER GEAR SYSTEM ON THE FISKARS 9154 LOPPERS IS AMAZING. SUDDENLY TREE LIMBS ARE NO LONGER THE CHALLENGE THEY WERE WITH MY OLD TRIMMER. THEY'RE RATHER EXPENSIVE BUT WELL WORTH THE PRICE. -- WONDERFULLY EASY TO USE
